For example, if an item physically measures 1200mm x 1000mm but has a 100mm cut line on one long edge and a 20mm cutline on one short edge, the provided measurements would be 1100mm x 1080mm, minus 20-30mm to allow for cutting and polishing (which is more commonly requested than not), giving you a final provided size of ~1075mm x 1055mm. This is important when considering the size of the offcut should you NOT want cutting to size or customising.
